The Dade Mattress Company was first established in 1923. It was the first mattress company in the state of Florida and was issued the Registration number 1. In 1946 the company was purchased by Johnny Prokos. He changed the name to The Dade Bedding Company and manufactured his mattresses under the Londonaire name. Johnny and Dade Bedding built a reputation for supplying the finest high quality mattress to Interior designers in Florida. In 1989 Dade Bedding agreed to become a Restonic Franchise and started manufacturing mattresses under the Restonic name as well. Restonic is one of the 10 largest manufacturers of mattresses in the United States. They are best known for their Marvelous Middle construction.

In 1994 Dade Bedding purchased another small manufacturer Royal Sleep Products and started making mattresses under all three labels. Dade Bedding had been originally incorporated as a New Jersey company many years ago, but in 1997 when the company was purchased by Gary Robinson he decided to re-incorporate the company in the State of Florida under the name Royal Sleep Products.

Today Royal Sleep Products continues its tradition of hand crafting the finest mattresses for Designers as well as retailers through out Florida.
